In terms of photo and video editing performance, the new iMac is on par with every other M1 Mac, meaning: excellent.Earlier this year Apple released the iMac Pro, a thoughtfully built machine aimed at creative professionals. Despite this, its arguably the best starter Mac for anybody who is interested in exploring their creative side. Its a family-friendly Mac thats much more concerned with aesthetic sensibility than Adobe Premiere Pro performance.Radeon Pro Vega 64 with 16GB of HBM2 memoryAs a video producer for TechCrunch, I don’t always have the luxury of two-week deadlines edits are often banged out right after the shoot. 10-core 3.0GHz Intel Xeon W processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz 27-inch 5K (5120 x 2880) retina display Answer (1 of 6): Pretty much any Macbook Pro made in the last 2-3 years is a good starter-laptop for video editing, and depending on exactly what you plan to do with it, should last you quite a while.
